Writing Requirements During Training

Throughout the training period, you are required to complete the following academic writing assignments:

Research Papers:

Write at least two papers, each with a minimum of 25 pages.

These papers should be well-researched and relevant to the field of your specialization.

Book Reviews:

Submit at least two book reviews of your choice.

Dissertations:

The dissertation should focus on a specific theoretical topic (e.g., “Severe Depression in a 10-Year-Old Child” is an appropriate topic, while “Depression” is too broad) or consist of a case study or a comparison between multiple cases.

Academic Integrity and Citation Guidelines

Two critical aspects of writing your papers are proper citation and avoiding plagiarism.

1. Proper Citation Using APA Format

All academic work must adhere to APA (American Psychological Association) citation standards.

Detailed APA guidelines can be found here: APA Rules

2. Understanding and Avoiding Plagiarism

Plagiarism refers to presenting someone else’s ideas, data, or written work as your own without proper attribution. This applies to:

Published and unpublished materials (books, journal articles, research papers, online sources).

Manuscripts, written or electronic sources, including AI-generated content.

Reusing your own previous work (self-plagiarism), unless properly cited.

Important: Every source, including direct quotes, paraphrased ideas, and data, must be properly cited and attributed to the original author.

3. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Academic Writing

The use of AI-generated content for writing academic papers is generally not permitted.

Any content generated by AI tools must be properly disclosed and should not replace original research and analysis.

4. Reuse of Prior Academic Work

Reusing your bachelor’s dissertation (from psychology or any other field) is strictly prohibited.

All dissertation work  must be original and written specifically for the training program.

Consequences of Plagiarism or Reusing Prior Work

If plagiarism is detected (including copy-pasting from online sources or other materials), one of the following consequences will apply:

You will be required to rewrite the dissertation or paper.

You may receive the minimum passing grade for the work.

If your dissertation is found to contain plagiarized content or if you reuse your bachelor’s dissertation, your submission will be invalid, and you may be required to redo the work.

By following these guidelines, you ensure academic integrity, professionalism, and the credibility of your research. Proper citation, original writing, and ethical academic practices will contribute to a strong foundation in your training and professional development.
